Project Description
Caritas Germany implemented WASH, Livestock, and Food Security project funded by the European Commission's Humanitarian Aid Office (ECHO) to save lives through the building and maintain water supply sources and distribution of unconditional cash and agriculture package to ensure that 35 targeted communities in Dulayna and Lal Wa Sarjangal districts have sufficient coping mechanism for the current drought situation. Its objective was to evaluate that to what extent project interventions regarding safe drinking water, knowledge about hygiene practices, food security, and unconditional cash distribution have overcome the effects of drought in two target districts of Ghor province.Services Provided by APEX
The services provided by the firm included the development of questionnaire tools, administring the 100 questionnaires in both Dulayna and Lal Sarjangal districts of Ghor province, conducting five face to face interviews with project staff and key stakeholders and four focus group discussions with project beneficiaries to assess the outcomes, output, and strategy of this project by using DAC criteria in terms of relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability over the baseline findings. The consultant also performed data analysis based on the collected data. At the end of the analysis process, a draft report shared with Caritas Germany for their comments/feedback. Based on the comments/suggestions received from Caritas Germany, a detailed final report will be presented to the client.
